Phoropter Disassembly - Sticky JCC Service

Описание к видео Phoropter Disassembly - Sticky JCC Service

DIY to clean and relubricate a phoropter JCC assembly. I'm not a professional - just an OD who likes to tinker - so follow at your own risk.

Strongly recommend getting a iFixit kit so that you don't have to hunt around for some of the random sizes of bits needed to do this job.

I'm not sure what OEM lubricant slit lamps use, but I've had no issues using bike assembly lube. Use sparingly, you only need a small film of grease to make things work. I used 99% alcohol and cotton swabs to clean out the older dirty lubricant.

Debris and lack of lubricant can cause parts of the JCC assembly to stick. This can cause your JCC to move the axis when switching between power/axis. By following these directions you should be able to get everything to move smoothly again!
