Interview with Izza Génini, Jewish-Moroccan Filmmaker | حوار مع المخرجة السينمائية "إيزا جنيني"

احتفالا بمختلف إنجازات النساء وإسهاماتهن، نكرم حافظات #تراث #المغرب المتعدد الثقافات. إيزا جنيني، إحدى رائدات السينما المغربية، هي واحدة من أبرز صانعات الأفلام المغربيات المتخصصة في الأفلام الوثائقية السردية. برصيد يفوق 20 فيلما وثائقيا، تسلط أعمال إيزا الضوء على التراث المتنوع للبلاد، خاصة الموسيقى والعروض والتقاليد الموسيقية المغربية المشتركة بين المسلمين واليهود.

أجريت هذه المقابلة في إطار برنامج ذاكرة التابع للوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية الذي تنفذه مؤسسة الأطلس الكبير وشركاؤها والذي يهدف إلى استكشاف وتعزيز التضامن بين الأديان والأعراق من خلال الجهود المجتمعية التي تعمل على الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي في المغرب.

In celebration of women’s varied accomplishments and contributions, we are honoring #women guardians of #Morocco’s #multicultural #heritage. Izza Génini, a pioneer of Moroccan cinema, is one of the leading Moroccan female filmmakers who specializes in narrative documentaries. Having produced over 20 documentaries, Izza’s works shed light on the country’s diverse heritage, particularly its music, performances, and the shared Moroccan Muslim-Jewish musical traditions.
