This video is particular has been a lot of fun to make, since I used to main two of the characters in it before (Ryu and Mii Brawler.) Ryu felt terrible to me on release, while Brawler felt amazingly fun thanks to his buffs from 4 but still began to struggle over time. But thanks to Smash Ultimate's balance patches, Ryu, Ken and Mii Brawler have managed to hold on! For this next part of the Exploring 1.0.0 series, I'd like to explore all the ways Nintendo actually succeeded in keeping these characters fresh and relevant!
