Top 5 Features of the Racewell Sheep Handler

Описание к видео Top 5 Features of the Racewell Sheep Handler

#1 Adjustable lead up race, on all Racewell models it is adjustable top and bottom, on the HD3 it comes fitted with anti-backing flaps which are spring loaded, where as on the HD6 and HD4 models they come fitted with active anti-backing. What we mean by active anti-backing is they have eye’s on the side and a hook on the other side powered by air, this hook operates independently from the rest of the handling section.

#2 Unobstructed overhead access, this is an advantage because once an animal is clamped into the machine you can access the whole top of the animal without anything in the way meaning you can drench, vaccinate, crutch many other jobs more easily.

The 3rd feature is the side tilt, it’s an air operated 90 degree tilt on the clamp that allows you to get in for crutching down the legs and foot treatment. The side tilt can be controlled 3 ways; with a foot pedal on the ground, a switch on the dashboard or the radio remote. It’s an optional upgrade that can be added to any Racewell Handler that is well worth getting especially for crutching big ewes or rams.

The 4th feature is the Racewell operating modes. There are 3 operating modes; auto, auto fast and open. What these modes change it the way the auto gate operates. So the first mode auto means the auto gate will operate in tandem with the clamp wall and then won’t reopen until the animal has left the clamp. In the 2nd mode, auto fast, the auto gate will close in tandem with the clamp wall but then will open immediately after the clamp wall releases, not waiting for the animal to leave the clamp area. This is great once the animals have been through the machine before and are flowing well. The 3rd mode is open, or drenching mode, and it’s used exactly for that, drenching. What it does is shut the auto gate down completely and allows the animals to stack up behind each other, similar to the way a conveyor would work. The eye on the clamp will still work automatically and you can use the foot pedal to release. If the flow is there you can comfortably drench 900 per hour.

The 5th feature is the trailer system. It can be mounted onto any type of Racewell Handler, the basis of each trailer is the same, they all have a heavy-duty chassis, working platform and a place to hang your dagging plant. Where they differ is the suspension and other optional accessories you choose to be road legal or just an agricultural trailer. There are 3 versions available; the first version is an unsprung trailer designed to be used around the farm, towed behind quad bikes, side by side or ute and can only be registered as an agricultural trailer. The next version is a sprung trailer with Durotorque suspension so it can be moved a bit faster, bit longer distances and is classified as an agricultural trailer. The 3rd version is the road legal model, fitted with suspension, mud guards, lights everything you need for it to be warranted and registered and can travel at 90km per hour down the highway.
One of the main advantages of our single piece chassis is it’s ease to set-up and pack-up, all you’ve got to do is use the hydraulic foot to lift it off the ground, it’s all built in, slide the axles out and put it flat on the ground. The next advantage is that it doesn’t have to be on level ground to get an accurate weight.
