Shabana Azmi on her controversial film 'Fire'

Actress and member of Rajya Sabha Shabana Azmi speaks on controversy related to her film fire. She says " It is not surprising at all that the Shiv Sena drags everything to the level of personal attacks. There is no informed debate within the Shiv Sena. The Shiv Sena record has been one of intolerance in completely stamping out any form of informed debate. The true hallmark of a democracy is the right to decent and put your view point forward in an informed debate. Unfortunately the meaning of which Shiv Sena doesn't know and has again and again proved. What is really problematic here is this kind of allegations that somebody who is a true muslim become automatically a Pakistani is the seed for a violence of a kind which is not even imaginable and that's why not only should it be expelled from Rajya sabha but that man should apologise. The name of my character in the film is Neeta not Seeta. I am telling everyone hundred times. Do not make fool to people."
