Horseshoe Canyon is a remote unit of Canyonlands National Park in Utah, featuring four rich galleries of ancient Barrier Canyon Style artwork. It takes some effort to get to - and an eight mile hike - all richly rewarded with fantastic images in four different styles. In turn, we visited High Gallery, Horseshoe Shelter, Alcove and finally the Great Gallery with its life size enigmatic spiritual figures spanning nearly 200 feet. Given the difference in styles it is clear that many different cultures have lived in this area over a great span of time. This is their record.
