Sweet Creek Trail is the quintessential definition of an undiscovered/underrated gem that is a bit off the beaten path! It is 1.9 Mile - 2.2 Mile Roundtrip, approximately 300 FT Elevation Gain, that Hikes by 5 World Class Waterfall Systems - Split Falls, Punchbowl Falls, Annice Falls, Elk Wallow Falls & Sweet Creek Falls - through a luscious green magical section of Siuslaw National Forest in the Oregon Coast Range! In my humble opinion, it is most definitely a Top 10 Waterfall Hike in the State of Oregon, and Oregon is one of the most premium if not the premier Waterfall Hike State in the USA! I would also argue that Sweet Creek Trail is THE PREMIUM HIKE that is not a Coastal Ocean View Hike in Siuslaw National Forest. This was my first time ever doing this world class Hike, and I fell in love with it and left a super fan evangelist!

I started at Homestead Trailhead and Hiked North to South. The Bridge was out about 0.25 Miles in just past Split Falls, so I stopped there, Hiked back to the Trailhead, moved my vehicle to Sweet Creek Falls Trailhead, turned Right at the initial Junction and Hiked back to the other side of the out Bridge and continued from there so I could present the illusion of the continuous Sweet Creek Trail from beginning to end, both directions Out & Back. I did this on May 17, 2025, and my understanding is the Bridge will be fully repaired in July/August 2025, so I took this approach for longevity and posterity to fully capture Sweet Creek Trail since the Bridge being out was just a minor bump in the road in the long term history of this Premium Trail.
