So this is my 2nd Kingdom Hearts upload this month and this is the original Piano Collections arrangement. I played and mastered this piece years ago but I never got around to recording until now. One of my good friends Yoonchiya requested I play this version so here we are.

This arrangement is possibly one of if not the most dramatic piece I have ever played. The intro riff, reminiscent of Roxas' theme is still present before we enter the battle transition of this masterpiece. Both hands are playing in unison and it just adds so much trauma and desperation to the piece as a whole.

Once the melody is introduced, the left hand is busy playing mini scale like passages and we explode with the iconic tetrachord crescendo into the main section!

After much anticipation, the left is very busy playing sextuplet arpeggios, huge leaps, and occasionally mirroring the right hand with the melody.

Now the mid section is a calm before the climax. In this section, Miyano intended for us to play this section fairly calm and bring the dynamics to a new soft level. Before the finale, both hands must carry the melody through sweeping arpeggios like Liszt, Un Sospiro.

The Finale is here and everything has come to this conclusion of the climax. Fortissimo is the marked dynamic so let everything loose and explode. Towards the ending of this section, the left hand is playing descending octaves and we enter the coda of the piece.

The coda is absolute madness. Miyano did not disappoint here, the right hand is playing 32nd note arpeggios, whilst the left hand is playing huge leaps and the melody simultaneously.

What I love most about this arrangement is we finish where we started at. It's really like part of a story or something. It's pretty difficult to explain but I'll let the music be the deciding factor.
