This is one of the most famous scenes in the history of Polish cinema, and this analysis discusses the cohesiveness of the different elements used in the film, especially in relation to the art of cinematography and the actual content of the scene. An in-depth interpretation of the scene situates it in one of the old traditions of Polish culture.
