This is the fourth video of excel series. In this video we have talked about excel sum. For performing any mathematical calculation or sum excel uses formula and function. In this video we have introduced two method form performing excel sum. To use any formula in excel first we have to put a = sign in the cell then excel pretends it that we are going to use any formula or function.

First method:
In the first method to perform excel sum we put a = sign in the cell and then add all the numbers in the bracket as = =(4.93+5.11+7.2+1.35)
But this method has a problem if we change the number in the cell the sum don’t get changed automatically. This gives error in our calculation to overcome this problem excel used address by reference and address by value concept we have discussed this concept in detail in the video. We have also calculate the revenue of January month using this concept which brought second method of excel sum

Second method:
In the second method we discussed about the excel auto sum function used for larger calculation i.e. excel sum of values contained in 100s of cells.

At the end we have also discussed about the shortcut method for excel sum.
