Bird is a foundational pose in AcroYoga but it is still very challenging. In this video, we demonstrate the best way for beginners to enter into bird pose, as well as a pose called plank which is very similar to bird except the base and flyers keep their hands connected the whole time. Do not attempt bird until you are extremely comfortable with plank. Remember to always use a spotter and a mat to protect yourself from the floor.
