Описание к видео Downy Mildew of Cucurbits

Downy mildew of cucurbits is caused by a fungus-like organism that does not overwinter in Indiana. Therefore, whether downy mildew occurs in Indiana or not depends on if the downy mildew organism blows or is brought into Indiana. In most years, downy mildew of cucurbits is not observed until late summer or early fall. Dan Egel, Purdue Extension Plant Pathologist, explains/shows downy mildew symptoms, biology, plant resistance, and how its arrival into Indiana is monitored. Cucumber, an important host of downy mildew is featured here. Be sure to check out the links on this video for more information.
