EASY sweater for boys and girls VARIOUS SIZES UP TO 10 YRS knit/crochet Sunshine Jumper Pattern LEFT

This Sunshine knit sweater patter, jumper or pullover sweater is knit and crochet from the top down. The yoke is crocheted with a 3.5mm hook and the rest of the body along with the sleeves is knit with 3.5mm circular needles. You can make this little sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing hook and needle size, see below. Please keep in mind that THESE SIZES ARE BASED ON STANDARD SIZE MEASUREMENTS AND NOT ALL BABIES ARE THE SAME SIZE. ALSO YOUR TENSION WILL VARY WHICH CAN AFFECT THE FINAL SIZE.

HOW TO MAKE IT SMALLER OR BIGGER:
1-2 Yrs use 3mm hook and needles with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
2-3 Yrs use 3.5mm hook and needles with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
4-5 Yrs use 4mm hook and needles with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-7 Yrs use 4.5mm hook and needles with #3, DK or 8ply yarn

8-9 Yrs use 5mm hook and needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn*
9-10 Yrs use 5.5mm hook and needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn*
**NOTE: Make the yoke using a crochet hook and then continue with knitting needles in the same size for the body and the sleeves. You will make the sweater exactly like the tutorial with same stitch count and number of rows just change to the hook and needle size above and ignore the measurements in the tutorial as those only apply to the 2-3yr size.

Approx. Gauge (yoke) 2in= 6 rows/ 11 sts with 3.5mm hook
Approx. Gauge (body) 2in= 16.5 rows/11 sts with 3.5mm needles
Finished measurements for 2-3yr size is available at the end of the tutorial

For the 2 to 3 year size pullover sweater that I make in the tutorial, I used a 3.5mm hook for the yoke and 24in long 3.5mm circular needles for the body and the sleeves. It is knit in the round using the magic loop technique but you can use shorter needles too. For the yoke and a little of the body, I used one skein (100g) of James C Brett Marble Dk in the color #BM23. For the body I used (90g) Stylecraft Special DK in the color 1005 . You can also use any #3 or 8ply yarn.
