Mukutmanipur Boat Ride

Описание к видео Mukutmanipur Boat Ride

An excellent weekend destination from Kolkata within 250 km one way. We took the Bankura Khatra Mukutmanipur road from Bankura station. Road condition is very good; good enough to drive with your own car. Current govt seems to have done quite a lot of work to make the place attractive to tourists. Apart from good roads, beautification seems to have taken place of importance. The promenade in front of the Kangsabati Dam is just heavenly. Either drive along or just walk leisurely, you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas. Hotel options are a bit limited, although there are quite a basic few to cater. Peerless Resort & WBFDC's Sonajhuri Resort are the most quality options there. Others worth mention are Hotel Aparajita & Amrapali, both quite nice. Local sightseeing options include Pareshnath Temple, Musafirana Park, Deer Park, Confluence of Kangsabati & Kumari rivers, Baroghutu. Take a motorized van rickshaw to cover all these. The other day, hire a car to visit Maa Ambika Temple, Talberia Dam, Ranibandh, Sutan Forest & Jhilimili & enjoy the excellent road through dense forest. And yes, don't forget to take a boat ride on the Kangsabati Dam. Its highly recommended. A tour to Bishnupur or Susunia can also be clubbed with Mukutmanipur. If its a road trip from Kolkata, the most convenient route is via Dankuni, Singur, Tarakeshwar, Arambag, Joypur Forest, Kotulpur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Khatra & back by same route. The more adventurous souls can do the return trip via Khatra, Ranibandh, Jhilimili, Belpahari, Jhargram, Lodhasuli Morh, Kharagpur, Kolaghat. It will cover up a vast area of Junglemahal.
