Music has always played a major role in the Star Trek universe. Not only as an accompanying work, background music or cinematic element, but it also has an essential content-related and symbolic component. Already in The Next Generation, music served Data in particular as an essential expression of his attempt to be as human as possible and to express himself.

The lyric-dramatic soprano Tiffany Gauger studied singing, music and philosophy at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the Hochschule für Musik Mainz. After her studies, her artistic activities have so far taken her to the Stadttheater Gießen, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, and repeatedly to the International May Festival Wiesbaden.

Her repertoire includes roles such as the „Königin der Nacht“ („Die Zauberflöte“ - W.A. Mozart); Lucia ("Lucia di Lammermoor" - G. Donizetti) and Elisabeth ("Tannhäuser" R. Wagner). In addition to her artistic activity, she teaches classical singing as well as pop, jazz and musical belt. From 2018-2021 she also held a teaching position for singing and from 2020-2021 she was head of the department for singing and music at the state-approved vocational school for musical "Musical Arts Academy" in Mainz. She is also pursuing a doctorate in historical musicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main.
