My intersex body (eng) | Intersex Awareness Day 2018

Last year I came out publicly as intersex on intersex awareness day. Therefore, this day means something special to me. I am so happy of all the changes that happen in a year even if I sometime barely realize that this is really life. That today I exist fully, with nothing to hide. Yet this is not the case for many of us. For different reasons such as security due to the political, social or working environment, family ties, self-confidence, shame… Being intersex in today’s world is not an easy task and can sometimes be very difficult, yet this should not be. Days like this one aim to show human diversity, raise awarenness to our existences and the violations of our human rights and feature the beautiful community.
