Porsche Alternator Update. How to rebuild your air-cooled Porsche engine.

Описание к видео Porsche Alternator Update. How to rebuild your air-cooled Porsche engine.

The Valeo alternator has been around for a long time, but if you do not have one yet, here is a lesson on the differences.
We remade our own harness for the job so it has fewer wires than you may have on your harness. Setting up the shims is a feel thing too, start in the middle and feel if it is too tight. We ended up with 4 inside and 2 outside, but it will not vary very much.
If you are going to continue to use your original alternator, remember that the regulator needs to match the brand of the alternator. Marchell or Bosch, the regulators are getting hard to find.
