1989 MTV Spring Break part 2 from Daytona Beach Florida - Remote Control, Club MTV & bikinis

In the late 1980s, MTV started it' spring break coverage live from Daytona Beach in the month of March when colleges were on break. They would broadcast live Friday through Sunday during breaks from music videos and would hold other fun events such as bikini contests and other beach games. In 1989, their own game show Remote Control broadcast live from here ad well as Club MTV, their dance show with Samantha Fox.
As a young teenage boy, I stayed glued to my TV and VCR recording every live segment that I could during that weekend. I wasn't very popular as you may imagine. Yes, those 80s big-haired bikini girls had a special place in my heart then and still now.
