Let me get this straight, this is not the kind of video that says “Don’t say that, avoid saying this. Or this word is too simple! Forget about it if you want to sound good, or sound like a native speaker”. My opinion is you can use whatever vocabulary appeals to you. Languages have plenty of simple, yet highly informative and just comfortable words. And it’s more than OK to use them, too. On top of that, most of my students work in international teams where they speak simple and clear, without chasing the number of sophisticated words in their sentences.
However, even simple constructions may be varied, so we can still make our speech diverse.
