The pyramids were a bit more length and trouble than I was counting on, so while all three of the regular pyramid levels are complete, the secret Pyramid of the Forbidden still looms ahead.

To start off, I'm planning to load an earlier save, turn on some cheats, and casually explore the rest of the Pyramid of the Moons. But then it's conceptually the hardest level in the game (though others may arguably be worse). The goal is to get through this death trap without using cheats, but I do intend to use saves as checkpoints every time there's a doorway. That should be a good enough compromise.

As a recap, the story for this game is that Commander Keen has traveled to the Shadowlands to rescue the eight Gnosticene Council Members to activate the Oracle so he can find out more about some overheard plans by the Shikadi to destroy the Milky Way in the name of the Gannalech. Whoever those are.

As this episode was always fully and freely available as shareware, I'm relatively familiar with it, so between that, saving mid-level, and cheats to fall back on as a last resort, we're playing on hard mode. Which I occasionally regret, but it's mostly worked out okay.
