My WE Airsoft L85A2 GBBR Review and Impressions

Just a short look at the WE L85A2 GBBR, hard firing, hard kick (for an airsoft gun) and great externals and internals too!

A few notes:
I havent chronoed this particular weapon but other reviews have mentioned that it clocks in roughly at around 400-415 fps at around room temperature.
Charging handle and bolt only goes back half way, this is to ensure that enough gas can be used to discharge the bb. this also means that the bolt catch doesnt work and serves no purpose other than aesthetics.
The bolt does lock back upon emptying the magazine but you must push the little latch on your magazines forward beforehand otherwise you'll keep firing blanks like I did here.
Also due to the high metal content of this weapon, the gas pressure is thus quite sensitive to temperature changes, I only recommend purchasing this if you live in a warm climate, ironically this British icon wont work very well in Blighty itself.
Before you ask, yes I am in the UOTC and I have used and fired the SA80 and the LSW
and yes the the fact I am in the UOTC was a really big reason why I bought this particular airsoft gun. This imitation firearms is quite popular with the 10 or so current and former UOTC/army cadets/CCF that exist in the whole of hong kong.
and yes I was sad enough to have a friend perform a weapons handling test with this, other than the non functioning bolt catch its a near perfect substitute!
