The long take is a filmmaking technique that involves capturing an extended shot without editing. It can create realism, immersion, and convey emotion. Famous long takes include "Touch of Evil" and "Goodfellas". Directors like Hitchcock and Kubrick are known for their use of the technique. Advancements in technology have pushed the boundaries of the long take in cinema.
