Released in 1990, Liquid Kids is in some ways the missing link between Bubble Bobble and The New Zealand Story, for it takes inspiration from both. It's yet another high-quality, colourful platform affair from Taito, which is great fun to play.

As with other Taito games, there's more to Liquid Kids than meets the eye. The game features numerous hidden warps, which can only be revealed by hitting the correct spot with a several well-placed water bubbles. The warps typically skip levels, so I avoided these, although I did take the warp that shows the secret Tiki the Kiwi backdrops, since this keeps you in the same level.

At the end of each world, players get to choose which level to tackle next via a warp door, which adds a level of replayability to the game.
