Tatoosh Traverse

Описание к видео Tatoosh Traverse

This was by far one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in the outdoors. I had heard about the Tatoosh Traverse from other mad mountain souls. It’s a backcountry ridge scramble that takes you through the Tatoosh Range in Mount Rainier where you can bag like 10 peaks. The full traverse is a multi day adventure. I decided to check out a portion of it and to do it solo. My portion started at the Pinnacle Peak trailhead and traversed over to a formation called The Castle which is a collection of vertical spires that literally forms a castle shape and can be climbed with ropes. From there I descended the world’s most miserable steep scree slope to the Pinnacle glacier where I set up camp and woke up the next day to circumnavigate The Castle and scramble up Pinnacle Peak. This was probably the most adventurous solo trek I’ve ever taken. There are use trails but no maintained trails and a lot of route finding, boulder hopping, scrambling, and scree skiing. The views were unlike anything I’ve experienced and the weather was perfect. My soul is so full and I feel so proud to have undergone a proper adventure
