Learn how to successfully transplant Pearl & Jade pothos cuttings from water to soil in just a few simple steps! Here’s how I do it:
1. Check the roots: Start by inspecting the long, healthy roots of your propagated cuttings in the glass container.
2. Prepare the pot: Use a pot with drainage holes and add a small mesh net at the bottom to prevent soil from escaping.
3. Add potting mix: Fill the pot 1/3 of the way with a well-draining pothos potting mix. (I use my handmade mix available on my Etsy shop.)
4. Remove the cutting: Carefully take the cutting out of the water, being gentle with the roots.
5. Place the cutting: Position the cutting in the center of the pot, spreading the roots slightly.
6. Fill with soil: Add more potting mix to cover the roots completely, leaving a bit of space at the top of the pot.
7. Water thoroughly: Pour water evenly until it drains out the bottom, ensuring the soil settles around the roots.
8. Let it drain: Allow the excess water to drain completely to avoid overwatering.
9. Place in a bright spot: Find a well-lit location with indirect sunlight, like a shelf or near a window, to help your pothos thrive.

This easy process will give your pothos the perfect start in its new soil home. Try it out and watch your plant grow beautifully!
