Mailchimp + Salesforce: Part 2 - Sync Unsubscribes & Bouncebacks Using Flow

IMPORTANT NOTE: MailChimp has removed their free app from the AppExchange - BUT you are still able to download the free app if you have the link: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/ap.... There is a new paid app from Beaufort12 that is listed as the 'Official Mailchimp Salesforce integration'. We are sure the free app will be going away and this means all of the enhancements we show you in this video will be obsolete. We are currently working on evaluating the new paid app to understand the keys differences and what needs to be bolted on to enhance the integration. We will come out with a video series on how to extend the functionality in the paid app so you can achieve the same results you had with the free app.

One of the pain points we encountered while implementing MailChimp for Salesforce was the inability to update Contacts and Leads when they unsubscribe or experience email bounces. The standard Mailchimp integration lacks a direct method to update the Email Opt-Out field in Salesforce. While Zapier is often recommended as a workaround, we faced API limit issues when dealing with large contact volumes, and its actions were limited between the two applications.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to harness the power of Salesforce Flow to update the subscription status and email deliverability on your Leads and Contacts. By leveraging the data syncing between MailChimp and Salesforce in the MC Subscriber object, we'll demonstrate how easy this process is to automate.
