St. Agnes is essentially the sister song to my recent release, Islands which was featured on playlists such as Alex Rainbird and Indie Folk Central and others , which helped gain it 16k streams in its first month of release.
It's a quintessential song about questioning life and as if I was speaking to myself from a different point of view. that this is life, " I had a brief moment when I was questioning myself and what I was doing with my time, stuck in jobs I didn't like, places I didn't want to be and wondering if this will all work out "Who am I? , stuck in my reeds"

My girlfriend and i I spent a lot of time in Cornwall at the Wheal Coates tin mines in St Agnes, which heavily inspired me by their presence and their history but by just being there staring out to the endless sea from inside the engine house made me realise that this is all we have, time, life is just about living and doing what makes us who we are.

It's a reminder to myself that life is trials and tribulations, mistakes and experiences, no matter how bad life can be and how little money I may have "down for the last time down on my last dime" but there's always good in all those things ( "whole new light I'm seeing, walk along st Agnes ,now im living" )

I came away from the St Agnes with a new perspective on life and how I want to live with my limited time here. which drove me to write this song and Islands.
