Simple recipe for no dig:
- layer of paper material (newspaper, packing paper, cardboard)
- compost about 2 inches
- mulch 3-6 inches depending on the plant material you want to smother
- make sure to water
- plant perennials and shrubs right away
- wait about a month to plant seedlings / small annuals
