The difference between Bracharia grass species and Napier grass as shown at Seb farm. Bracharia grows upto about 4ft above the ground. Napier grass ( Backjong, Giant and Kagamega 1) at Seb farm grows upto height of 16ft from the ground.

Bracharia has two types : Hybrids and cultivars. Hybrids are those which have been genetically improved through cross breeding. Cultivars are original varieties that have not been cross bred with any other varieties of grasses.

Hybrids include : Camello, Mulato 2, Cayman, and Cobra. They have soft leaves and high protein content.

Cultivars are: Biata , Basilik, and MG4. The cultivars have higher and low in protein content.
