Starting in the 1920s through the 1940s American automobile manufacturers offered coupe styled bodies variously called Victorias, sedan-coupes, opera coupes, and four or five passenger coupes. These body styles were usually a price upgrade from conventional two door coupes or sedans. The cars were considered to be more stylish and sporty. The industry offered a broad array of options from the lowest price makes to full custom coach- built models.
