WVLA Channel 33 sign-off 1993

Описание к видео WVLA Channel 33 sign-off 1993

From 1993, here is a TV sign off from WVLA, the NBC affiliate for Baton Rouge, LA. All copyrights acknowledged. This sign-off is much more abrupt than the 1992 one as WVLA had to go off the air for transmitter maintenance. This one starts off with a PSA from the station "Friends of the Family," which the station used as its slogan during the era, followed by a Levis Mitsubishi ad, features the WVLA flag id, which is somewhat dark with ominous music that was used from 1992-1993, followed by an announcement about going off the air, then the technical information is given over a still of the 1990-1992-era Entertainment Television/Now That's Entertainment/NBC The Place to Be/WVLA the Place to Be logo before going dark with no national anthem nor America the Beautiful. By the mid 1990s, the stations that did sign off (which was basically WVLA and LPB) seemed to not close down with a patriotic montage, but given this one is from a transmitter/technical issue, it may be an anomaly.
