Temperatures soared to a sweltering 38.4 degrees in Luzhu, Taoyuan on Friday. And temperatures of more than 38 degrees are expected in the Greater Taipei area this weekend. But despite that, July and August were actually, on the cooler side. The average temperature these two montsh was 28.6 degrees, which is 0.2 degrees lower than the climatic average. According to the Central Weather Administration, September and October are expected to be on the warmer side, with temperatures returning to normal or above-average values in November.
