How long does it take to setup a new EDI Solution?

As a business owner or a c-level professional of a small-mid sized retail, logistics, food or a transportation company, a big concern for you is how long will it take to setup an EDI solution.

In our experience, anywhere between 3-4 weeks is ideal.

If you have 1 trading partner and just starting out, sometimes it might take anywhere between 24 hours to 1 week also depending upon how quick your trading partner is in setting up communication etc.

If you have multiple trading partners, an ideal time is 3-4 weeks but anything exceeding that time with any EDI provider can land you in trouble with your trading partner because they have set timelines.

Some EDI providers can take anywhere between 1-6 months for setup which is a long time if they have a backlog of projects.

So when you are evaluating EDI service providers, you should ask this question about the time they will take to implement EDI with your trading partner.

Remember time is everything in EDI!
