With ryokan hotels and onsen baths closed, we decided to dust off our camping gear and go bikepacking! Join us as we explore some of my favorite parts of central Japan on this three-day adventure, full of amazing climbs, blissful descents, and endless conbini stops.

When I finished editing, it was announced that ryokan hotels are re-opening in our region, with many virus-prevention measures in place. so, we decided to ride to Tochigi prefecture the following week to explore all the amazing culture and natural beauty of the region, while staying in a Japanese ryokan. You can call me Moe - I currently live and ride in Gunma, Japan. My goal is to get more humans on bikes to explore the Japanese countryside. In particular, it's my passion to encourage more women and girls to go out and ride.
