A man and woman are dead after a shooting in north Columbus on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a well-being check around 10 a.m. in the 1400 block of North 4th Street, located in the Weinland Park neighborhood.

Sgt. Joe Albert said when officers arrived, they found a man and a woman dead inside a home. He said they appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds.

Albert said two young children were also inside the home and were unharmed.

At this time, Albert said there is no indication that this was a murder-suicide. No gun was found at the scene.

There is no suspect information at this time. It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
