How to make a metal summer pool Κατασκευή πισίνας με σίδηρο εύκολη-

Last year I made a summer pool with wood. This year I'm trying my luck with metal.
I'm using 3mm thick wire mesh pieces, the same that is used for concrete floor reinforcement.
They come in 3x1.5 meter sheets, with the mesh being at 5x5 cm squares.
After cutting pieces of around 70 cm hight, I connect them together to form the outside frame of the pool. They are easily connected together using zip ties or just plain rope. Either way is effective. I 'm using rope and it works just fine.
After forming the basic frame, I tie ropes from one side to the other, and these will be the ones that will keep the bottom of our pool from opening up (you know, due to water pressure).
After tying the ropes, turn the pool right side up, and lay some protective materials, to help keep the bottom safe from pointy objects that may pierce it. If you have any more protective fabrics or anything else, that will help keep the sides protected too, go ahead and use that too. The plastic tarp we'll be using for our pool is the thick type, but it's always nice to help keep it protected.
The top edge of the pool can be decorated with foam insulation, which will give the pool a nice look, and also protect the users from accidental scratches when getting inside.
This whole project is not that expensive, 27 € for the metal wire mesh and 10 € for the plastic tarp. Plus a few euros for a new rope, in case we don't have any leftovers lying around.

A point to be careful :
Always be careful of small children. Never leave them alone in the pool. Small todlers and children younger than 5 years of age, should allways be observed by adaults, especialy if the hight of the pool is around 70cm like this one. This hight is not realy for small kids, as it is a bit high. A hight of around 40 - 50 cm is more apropriate for small kids. 70cm hight is more suitable for teenagers and adaults. So always keep an eye on small children.


Also, don't forget to throw in about a kilo of salt, and emty the water every couple of weeks. Since there is no filtering system, emtying and refilling the pool is necessary for hygiene purposes.
