What is an HSG test (Tube Test ) | Infertility Series | Dr Anjali Kumar & Dr Prachi Benara | Maitri

Pregnancy is not just about the egg and the sperm. The passage, which allows them to meet has to be right too. Did you know, the fertilization of the egg by the sperm happens in the fallopian tube and then the fertilized egg moves towards the uterus for implantation. Blocked fallopian tubes are the reason for infertility in 10- 30 % cases. So, assessment of the fallopian tubes is an important part of fertility investigations.
Most common test to check the patency of the tubes is called HSG Test ( Hysterosalpingogram )
