Installing Liquid & OnSite FMS+ on a John Deere Planter

Описание к видео Installing Liquid & OnSite FMS+ on a John Deere Planter

This video shows how we install a full liquid system, including the OnSite FMS FlowBoards on a John Deere 1770 16 row planter.

The video is pretty much the entire install with very few edits so you don't miss any of the steps. The video is a little long, but we tried to speed it up as much as we could whenever Johannes wasn't explaining what he was doing in that step. Installing the tank, electric pump, plumbing and OnSite FMS+ FlowBoards took less than four hours in real time with 2.5 guys working on it.

In the video we show:
0:00 Mounting brackets and a tank on a John Deere 1770 planter
19:08 Mounting check valves and P2P Brackets on the row units
21:55 Mounting OnSite FMS FlowBoards
33:10 Plumbing the tank
46:15 Adding a rear quick-fill port
49:17 Mounting an electric pump
55:27 OnSite FMS+ final clean-up for a professional install

Unfortunately, we only got the liquid side of the planter done this day and we couldn't film on the day we went back to finish the wiring. We plan to do another video on how the whole system is wired together and how to set up the electronics next season.

We left in all of the false starts and replumbing that we experienced on this job because you will likely experience some of them yourself. We think there's more value in seeing how to work through issues when they arise than in just showing the successful final result. You will understand why we love flange fittings by the end of the video. They make it easy to fine-tune your plumbing without major delays or inconvenience.

The one thing we didn't film is running the tubing from the OnSite FMS FlowBoards down to the P2P Brackets on each row, but that is fairly straight forward and repetitive. You can see us doing that in the background while Johannes mounted the pump. It's pretty easy if you just follow the existing hoses on the planter.
