Are Lasers Safe in Dark Skin?

Today I’m doing a deep dive into a topic I frequently get asked about: Lasers in Darker Skin Tones. It’s a topic that remains misunderstood and we need greater education and training when it comes to treating melanin rich skin. In recent years, advances in technology has made it safer to perform laser treatments in darker skin tones as many lasers bypass the epidermal melanin and go deeper into the skin reducing the risk of complications. However, there remains significant risk using lasers and devices in darker skin tones and I want to discuss these potential complications. In this video, I bring to light the technologies I have found safe and effective in the hands of trained and experienced Dermtaologists to remove hair, treat scars, rejuvenate the skin, lighten hyperpigmentation, and so much more.
