Abstract:
I shall outline a new approach to the Composition-Diamond Lemma for rewriting systems / Gröbner-Shirshov bases; more specifically, I shall explain how the Maurer-Cartan equation in the tangent complex of a monomial algebra leads to many different versions of the Composition-Diamond Lemma, one for each representative of the tangent complex arising from a multigraded resolution of such algebra. This is joint work with Pedro Tamaroff.
