Although I have a video with a cheesing strategy for the WD in this mission, by using rooftops, once you have good gear you can do a more fun and faster aggressive approach even on online solo runs.

I did try this extensively with the Phalanx ZT instead of the ZAT to be able to do it with non-DLC weapons but it doesn't work. ZT is not able to handle the heavy cosmos in one charge not even close, and the theory that you can hide behind cosmos corpses and not be hit is just that, because in practice it will only work if you're between their legs and all the remaining cosmos are exactly behind it and far, and even then...
So you're stuck with the ZAT and the more upgraded the better (mine is at full stars which make this quite easy).
This is EDF, not only does the cosmos have an almost perfect aim-bot from the other side of the map, you can be hit through walls so don't expect this to be a linear approach, and some failures will occur. Beware of dealing with one cosmos with others around, heavy ones or not they can sneak pretty fast.

The cheesing version still works in online solo too, but beware that cosmos have a tendency to climb buildings and then become really dangerous.

Not much else to say, at least much more fun than the cheesing version.
