Season 20 of Closer To Truth, coming to PBS affiliates in 2020.

Can the arts enhance our understanding of human consciousness and perhaps reality? What distinctive cognitive value does engagement with the arts generate? Can art provide insight into consciousness, human uniqueness, meaning, religion, and realities beyond the physical?

Season 20 of Closer to Truth will explore these questions and more. Through conversations with cognitive psychologists, artists, philosophers, neuroscientists, anthropologists, theologians, and more, host Robert Lawrence Kuhn searches for the ways in which art could illuminate realities that cannot be reduced to sensory experience or scientific experiment alone.
