This proves it though becoming a content creator is ABSOLUTELY possible today. If I can do it, trust me, you can do it too. I had no editing, video, or acting experience (zero). I do not use ANY professional video equipment (no DSLR or fancy light set up).

Equipment I use:
iPhone 14 Pro: any recent smartphone these days is going to have a camera good enough, don't waste your time with fancy cameras that cost 1,000s of dollars, you don't need them. Most creators at this point just use a phone. You can upgrade down the line, but I wouldn't get one if you are just getting started.

Ring Light: First investment should be the light (light make the world of a difference in how things look) but honestly, any $30 ring light of amazon will do. I like this one because it fits in my backpack and I can bring it anywhere: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V7CW3SR

Rode Wireless Go Microphone: I got this one for about $200. I only got it a few months ago, but it made a big difference in audio quality (but not something you need to get started) (https://rode.com/en-us/microphones/wi...)

and that's it... All the editing I do for short form videos is in app that you are posting in. You don't even need laptop or a desktop or fancy editing software.

How to get started
Honestly, just get started! Pick something you like to talk about and go, whether it's on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, just pick up your phone, use the selfie camera, and tell the world something they need to hear.

Your first 100 videos are going to be absolutely terrible, that's just how it goes. You just have to be ok with that. Improve something with each video you make, and you will inevitably figure it out. Nobody is going to remember your first few videos few months down the line.
