Worn M475 freehub after few days

Описание к видео Worn M475 freehub after few days

The freehub has about 1 mm play when it's new.
This is how few days of use, on light xc and gravel and asphalt riding does to the M475 freehub.
I am about 86 kg with all my gear on, But these freehubs lasted about a season when I was a teen boy, before they actually failed completely.
The deadzone makes climbing technical terrain or roots harder, and it feels wrong when just going fast on the straights.

it gets worse in weeks, or days until it is so bad it reduces shifting performance.

I hate these hubs, the rest of the hub is awful too, the service intervals are way too close.

I have hope Pro 4 hubs and I like them a lot, they are almost idiot proof and easy to service, and don't have to service them every single week or every second week in the winter, and of course they have zero play, So I strongly recommend avoiding these hubs, and go for something high end with ratchet system, and sealed cartridge bearings.

A bike shop might tell you this is normal and don't worry about it, I think this hub is awful, and the design is dated.
I don't have a tool to dissemble the freehub to change bearings, but I think this design is flawed as I wear them out way too fast, and changing bearings so often will be expensive. But servicing them is possible if you make a tool like RJ the bike guy did    • Freehub Body Disassembly/Assembly
