Warren Perrin and his wife Mary Broussard Perrin are descended from French Acadians. He is a scholar of Acadian history and culture. Warren and Mary Perrin have written and edited several books on the Acadians. Warren is a practicing lawyer in Lafayette, Louisiana and has successfully argued for Acadian national identity in the United States. Also, Warren sought and secured an apology from the British Crown for the 18th Century expulsion of the Acadians from lands now known as Nova Scotia and other eastern Canadian Provinces.

Warren Perrin was introduced by Hancock County Historical Society, President Chris Roth.
