DSB Class CO (XI) from Dekas - Unboxing, Passengers, Light and Weathering

Описание к видео DSB Class CO (XI) from Dekas - Unboxing, Passengers, Light and Weathering

DSB class CO (XI) coaches were a product of the Danish state railways rejuvenation programme from the mid-1930s to the late-1950s. The programme saw a number of older coaches from around WW I rebuild into more modern rolling stock. Especially in the early years the rejuvenation program saw a lot of experimentation and this particular coach was one of only four revamped in this particular way. The modernisation could be seen in the then new split windows, high back leather seats and inner walls in birch veneer. The coaches were divided into two large compartments, one for smokers (the largest) and one for non-smokers (the smallest) and they could seat no less than 78 passengers. The class CO coaches were used both in local traffic and as reinforcements in long haul trains and the Dekas model is thus a very versatile piece of equipment on the layout. For more on my plans for a h0 layout set in Denmark in the mid-1950s please visit my blog (in Danish, but Google-translate is your friend): www.sundborg.wordpress.com.
