Saint Stephen was one of the first deacons of the Christian Church. He was an excellent orator who soon became the target of Jews, who worried about his success. They arrested him accusing of blasphemy and was made to stand trial. Stephen died as Jesus did: falsely accused, brought to unjust condemnation because he spoke the truth fearlessly.
Stephen is the patron saint of deacons, headaches, horses, coffin makers, and masons. He is often represented carrying a pile of rocks or with rocks on his head. Watch his amazing story today!
