Azure AD can be integrated with external identity providers such as Facebook, Google, and others that support WS-Fed or SAML. This makes applications registered with Azure AD have the ability to login with these other IDP's while only maintaining the SSO with Azure AD and not having to maintain it with the application. This can greatly simplify integration work for all apps using Azure AD!
