🇨🇭 Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland Walking Tour: Cow Parade & Stunning Waterfall Views

This tour took place through the picturesque village of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, located in the stunning Lauterbrunnen Valley on September 14, 2024, barely hours before the annual Alpabfahrt celebration, a traditional Swiss event marking the cows' descent from the alpine pastures as summer comes to an end. Nearing the end of the tour we witness the cows in all of their grace. These beautifully decorated cows paraded through the village, making their way down the main street towards the Staubbach waterfall. In the spring, a similar event, known as Alpfahrt, sees the cows being led up to the mountains for grazing. After enjoying the parade, we explored the charming village and hiked up behind the waterfall, where breathtaking views of Lauterbrunnen and its valley awaited us.
