Picnic at La Demeure St Antoine

La Demeure is one of those places that you just discover in Mauritius. We never drove in there because the sign says "By Reservation Only" But this time we just wanted to see what is hidden behind the walls. And what a surprise.

It is truly a hidden gem. La Demeure was built in 1830 by Edmond de Chazal and form part of this magnificent Mauritian heritage at risk of extinctionLocated in the north of the island, La Demeure Saint Antoine is a magical place which is embedded with Mauritian tradition, authentic country charm, and the elegance of a colonial empire.
